Grains

There are only two dirt field grains in this version of Harvest Moon: Wheat and Soybean. In Tale of Two Towns you didn't have to water these crops, but in A New Beginning the crops need to be watered every day. Unfortunately, grains still take a long time to grow.

The grain crops can be grown all year long. You need to use a Sickle to harvest the crops when they are full grown. Rice is technically a grain crop, but it grows in the Water Paddy.

Wheat and Soybean can be entered into the Other category during the seasonal Crop Festivals. Flax and Raw Cotton belong to the Flower category.
