Spring Season Festivals and Events
Spring 4 - Llama Festival
This festival becomes available after you own a Llama. You can buy a Llama from Neil's animal booth starting in Summer of year 2 or once you own 2 Yaks. They animals only come in one color (brown) and cost 25,000 G each. Llamas are adult size when purchased and they can't breed.
On the day of the festival, talk to Dunhill at the festival grounds to select the Llama you want to us e and the class you want to enter. It doesn't matter if your Llama has its wool clipped, but you can't enter a sick animal. You will have a better chance of winning if:
- You enter a Llama with a lot of Friendship Points (hearts)
- The Llama has zero stress
- You brushed your Llama that morning so it is clean
- (Advanced class only) The Llama can produce "Great" quality products
For the Beginner and Intermediate class, you can win simply based on the number of Friendship Points the Llama has. You'll win the Beginner class at 361 Friendship Points (3.5 hearts = 350 FP) and the Intermediate class at 9 hearts. But for the Advance class, you'll need 10 hearts and some of the factors listed above. The other judgement factors affect the lower classes as well; for example, if you enter a Llama into the Beginner class that only has 3 hearts but 0 stress and is clean, then you still have a chance of winning the festival.
If your Llama is judged to be the winner, you will receive a standard festival prize and +1000 FP with the villagers.

The boy will randomly give you a dessert, such as Pudding, Soy Milk Cookie, Cream Puff, and so on. If the boy wasn't unlocked and gift-able on Winter 14, then he won't be there to return a gift on Spring 14. You need to have room in your Rucksack for the gifts.

This festival changes again after you have become sweethearts with a boy or if you are married. Enter your house between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm to have a date with your beloved. The same reciprocal rule applies as well; no gift for him on Winter 14, then no special meal for you on Spring 14.
Spring Harmony Day can't be celebrated in your first year. This day will be nothing special to you until year 2 and only if you gave gifts on Winter 14.
You will receive +2000 FP with each boy who celebrates with you.
If you are a Boy:
Today you will give gifts to the bachelorettes. The appropriate Spring Harmony Day gifts are: Crepe, Chiffon Cake, Cream Puff, Soy Milk Cookie, Madeline, or Pudding, Giving gifts on this day will ensure that you receive gifts on Winter 14. You will earn +1000 FP for giving a Harmony Day gift.

On the day of the festival, talk to Dunhill at the festival grounds to select the Yak you want to use and the class you want to enter. You can't enter a sick Yak. You will have a better chance of winning if:
- You enter an Yak with a lot of Friendship Points (hearts)
- The Yak has zero stress
- You brushed your Yak that morning so it is clean
- (Advanced class only) The Yak can produce "Great" quality products
For the Beginner and Intermediate class, you can win simply based on the number of Friendship Points the Yak has. You'll win the Beginner class at 361 Friendship Points (3.5 hearts = 350 FP) and the Intermediate class at 9 hearts. But for the Advance class, you'll need 10 hearts and some of the factors listed above. The other judgement factors affect the lower classes as well; for example, if you enter a Yak into the Beginner class that only has 3 hearts but 0 stress and is clean, then you still have a chance of winning the festival.

Spring 22 - Honey Festival
Meet with Dunhill at the entrance to the festival grounds and give him Honey, Flower Honey, or Royal Jelly. There's no advantage of submitting one over another; it is the Star Points of the honey that is judged and not the type of honey. This festival has three judging classes:
- Beginner Class: 0 to 30 SP is 4th place, 31 to 45 SP is 3rd place, 46 to 60 is 2nd place, and anything above 61 (2 Stars) is 1st place
- Intermediate Class: 0 to 90 SP is 4th place, 91 to 120 SP is 3rd place, 121 to 150 SP is 2nd place, and anything above 151 (3 Stars) is 1st place
- Advanced Class: 0 to 180 SP is 4th place, 181 to 210 SP is 3rd place, 211 to 240 SP is 2nd place, and anything above 241 (4.5 Stars) is 1st place
This festival isn't available in your first year of the game. Rebecca doesn't move in until Spring 25, and so you can't build Beehives until after that time and ship at least 1 honey to unlock the festival. You will also need to have the Maker Shed and the Medicine Maker built in order to produce perfume to use on your bees to increase the Star Points of the produced honey. Using a 5-Star bottle of any type of perfume on a Beehive will increase the Star Points of the produced honey by 20 points.
Since items do not rot or decay in A New Beginning, you can use honey produced from last year's bees in the current year's Honey Festival. Work on increasing your honey's Star Points all year long and then simply store the high-starred honey in your Refrigerator until the festival.
Spring 24 - Soseki's Birthday

Spring 25 - Music Festival
After you have unlocked 15 or more villagers, Dunhill will visit your house and announce the existence of the Spring Music Festival. To attend the festival, go to the festival area between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. If you show up after 2:00 pm then you're out of luck until next year.
You don't have to do anything at this festival. Just sit back and listen to the music being played. If you happen to unlock the festival in year 1, then it will be Iroha and her harp. Year 2 is Emma at the piano, year 3 is Iroha again, and then from year 4 it starts back at Iroha's year 1 performance.
Once the music is over you'll have a tea party with the the normal female villager that you have the highest friendship points with. It doesn't matter what your gender is and does not include the female marriage candidates.
You will earn 1000 FP with each villager who attended the festival. After the tea party, you will return back to your house at 4:00 pm.

Hand it to him and he will automatically place you into the correct category, depending on the type of item you've given him. Then select the class you wish you be judged in (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced). Entering the crop festival will earn +1000 Friendship Points with the villagers.
For this contest, the acceptable entries are:
- Vegetables: Cabbage, Cucumber, Potato, Strawberry, and Turnip
- Fruits: Cherry
- Flowers: All herbs, Cactus, Cotton, Flax, Pink Rose, Marguerite, and Tulip

The Star Rank of the item is then judged against the three random villagers.

- Intermediate Class: 0 to 90 SP is 4th place, 91 to 120 SP is 3rd place, 121 to 150 SP is 2nd place, and anything above 151 (3 Stars) is 1st place

For the Vegetable contest, you can enter an enlarged crop for more Star Points. Entering a "Big" crop will add +25 SP to you point total and a "Giant" crop will add +50 SP.
If you win the festival you will be rewarded with a prize and an additional +1000 FP with the villagers.
Spring 31 - Flower Festival
On this day you'll give flowers to the villagers. You won't get anything back of course, but it is the thought that counts. You can give to the males, females, or marriage candidates. The only two who don't seem to be interested are the Harvest Sprites, Aaron and Alice.
Depending on what you decide to give, you'll earn different amounts of Friendship Points. If you give someone a flower bouquet, you'll earn 2000 FP. A flower that you've grown on your farm will result in a 1000 FP increase. If you decide to be cheap and give wild grown Moondrop Flowers, Magic Blue Flower, or Magic Red Flower then you'll only earn 500 FP.
Flower bouquets are crafted by Hana at the General Store. You need to have four types of flowers in your rucksack and then select the bouquet crafting option from her inventory menu. You can't make a bouquet using the same four flowers.
