One of the few villagers still living in Echo Village when you arrive is Emma. She is in charge of shipments out of town, and so she has a shipping bin in front of her house. When you first start out on your farm, Emma's shipping bin is the only one you can use until you are far enough in the game to construct your own shipping bin(s).

Emma has a cheery personality and is always encouraging you to do your best. In contrast, her daughter Yuri does not have the same attitude and is the opposite of her outgoing mother. Emma doesn't let it get her down though, and she just keeps plowing through the day with her happy-go-lucky mind set.
