Klaus has come to Souseki's house to retrieve a book that Souseki borrowed. Souseki is busy searching for it and so asks Klaus to wait a moment. The doctor looks around and notices how dirty Souseki's room is. It's so dusty! Souseki doesn't think that Klaus is being very nice, but moves to another corner of the room and continues his search.
Since he's on the topic, Klaus starts to scold Souseki on his lifestyle. He lazy and gets up late in the morning. Souseki's drinking will surely lead to an early death! Souseki stops his search, tells the doctor he'll take care of himself, and then resumes looking through the room.
Klaus doesn't understand how Souseki can act so casual about this. He's a doctor and Souseki should at least listen to a little bit of his advice! Souseki stops searching, thanks Klaus, and hands over the book. It doesn't appear to Klaus that Souseki has been paying any attention to his warnings.
Souseki says that he's laughing because he's happy that even at his age, Klaus worries about him. Others would just get angry at him. Souseki thanks Klaus again. His concern makes sure that all of the villagers are in good spirit. The city isn't as warm and Souseki is glad he came here.
Klaus is grateful for you (the main character) and Souseki agrees; you built their houses! Klaus suggests that they make you a meal to show their gratitude. Although, Klaus suggests that Souseki clean his house before you see it and get angry. Souseki reluctantly agree to tidy up a little bit.
